Army Room

The Colombian Army was born with the liberation ideas and its organization started while fighting for the Independence, which was finally obtained in the Battle of Boyacá, on August 7th, 1819.

The collection of uniforms, photographs, and firearms show some of the main events of our military history, highlighting the courage and strength of the Liberation Campaign, the A Thousand Days' War, the Colombian-Peruvian Conflict, the Korean War, and other crucial moments in our history.  In addition some of the firearms used by the Army through time, as well as former and current uniforms, insignias, patches, and medals including the Order of Boyacá, a medal awarded by the Army to its best men.
